"Little Dresses for Africa" Work Weekend
Simple dresses made out of pillowcases provide relief and hope for the children of Africa. We will provide the supplies, but can use the hands of volunteers to assist with making the dresses. From cutting fabric and ironing to sewing, there is a place for anyone who has an hour or two to spare.
Holiday Craft Crawl: "Make" Your Way Across Ames
Arts organizations in Ames are providing free art activities, demonstrations, exhibit viewing and more for the holidays. Grab your friends and "make" your way across town!
Argentine Tango
This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4-5pm moves for beginners are introduced with a different figure each week along with techniques for dancing better. From 5-7pm the dance floor is yours for dancing under the guidance of Valerie and working with different partners. An intermediate level figure will also be introduced during this time.

A panel of faculty and students who participated in research programs will talk about finding programs, application processes and other topics related to undergraduate research.
International Week: International bazaar
The International Bazaar will feature international music, henna painting, Dragon dance, traditional clothes to try on, international and traditional games, tea, calligraphy and a photo booth.
Open Mic Night
Open mic night gives students the chance to show off their talents to their fellow students. Many are musicians, comedians, and poets. So come on out and show us what kind of talents you have.

Belly Dance Lessons
Learn basic belly dance movements and how to perform them in a variety of different ways by making specific choices about size and speed of motion. One or two moves will be explored each week and then put into short practice phrases.
