Knitting Class
Learn the basics of knitting: cast-on, knit, purl, bind-off, rib stitch, increase and decrease techniques, pattern reading, gauge swatching, and picking up dropped stitches. Bring a pair of #7 or #8 single-point needles. Yarn will be provided.

Reception: Student Veterans

Intermediate Pottery: Throwing Larger Forms Class
If you have the basics down but your pots collapse when you throw larger, this class is for you. Learn the tips and tricks to throwing larger and more complex forms. Participants must have sound basic throwing skills on the potter's wheel and be able to reliably form a 6" to 8" cylinder.
Open Mic Night
Open mic night gives students the chance to show off their talents to their fellow students. Many are musicians, comedians, and poets. So come on out and show us what kind of talents you have.

Snow Blower Service Days
The Agriculture Systems Technology Club is holding its snow blower service days, Nov. 1-2. Drop off your snow blower during service hours.
Paint Your Own Pottery: Zombies
Join us for a fun exploration of techniques in "painting" bisque. Use stencils and transfer "undead" imagery on your piece. Or do a zombie self-portrait and creep out your roommates. We will have samples for inspiration but your own ideas are always welcome too. Studio fee is $4 for ISU and $5 for public to attend plus the cost of the bisque you select.

One person wins and everyone else loses in the competitive world of a spelling bee, and even though these kids have been told by their parents that just being there is winning, each of them knows that just isn't true. So how far should each of these elementary students go to win? Not recommended for young children.
Drop City Yacht Club (Hip-Hop/Alternative)
Writing and producing all of their own music, Drop City Yacht Club tows the line between clever hip hop, sly pop, and a spash of sun-soaked '60s rock. The group cruises down its own lane with a wide-eyed smirk. DCYC stands out because it can't simply be boxed into one sound of style. Boasting airtight mic skills and undeniable production, it's a one-two punch that's going to knock listeners out and get bodies moving in the process.?
ISU AfterDark
ISU AfterDark will feature Kevin "The Food Dude" Roberts, comedian Rob Delaney, and Drop City Yacht Club in The M-Shop! Other activities will include: -Ice Cream Sundae Bar -Bingo -Karaoke -Bowling and Billiards -Cyclone Suncathers -Greene Screen Photos -ISU Food Design Contest ISU AfterDark is a studeent group that plans late night events throughout the semester. All activites are free for students! Come enjoy the fun!
The Food Dude
Kevin Roberts "The Food Dude" has appeared on over 100 national and local television shows, including the Today Show, CBS' Early Show and Better TV. He now hosts TLC's BBQ PitMasters. He will be doing a food demonstration at 9:00 pm. Doors will open at 8:30 pm. The event is totally FREE

Little Dresses for Africa Work Weekend
Simple dresses made out of pillowcases provide relief and hope for the children of Africa. We will provide the supplies, but can use the hands of volunteers to assist with making the dresses. From cutting fabric and ironing to sewing, there is a place for anyone who has an hour or two to spare. Drop in to our community studio to help another community of children in the orphanages of Central Africa. www.littledressesforafrica.org
