Winter Plant Walk at Reiman Gardens
Receive a personal expert tour of Reiman Gardens during one of our loveliest seasons. Aaron Steil, horticulturist & Reiman Gardens' Manager of Public Programs, will introduce you to ornamental grasses, trees, shrubs, herbaceous plants & more, all with a focus on winter interest. You may even get a peek at some early spring bulbs. All ages * levels of gardening experience are welcome, but be sure to dress for the weather & wear walking shoes.

Learn from artist Megan Henson as you draw from flowers & plants in the classroom, the Hughes Conservatory, & even get inspired by those early spring blooms in outside. Use your drawings for nature journals, hand-made cards, & more.

Class: Spring Pruning
Join Sarah Rummery, Reiman Gardens' Manager of Horticultural Operations, and Sharon Rink, Reiman Gardens' Horticulturist, for an informative and hands-on workshop designed to familiarize you with all the W's of early spring pruning. Learn what, when, where, how, and why to prune, and put your knowledge to practice outside in the Gardens. Please bring a pair of gardening gloves (preferably leather), and dress to work outdoors.

Youth Program: Caterpillar Club
If you like Kids Story Time, you'll flip for Caterpillar Club! Please join us for winter storytelling twice per month, from October to March. Each gathering features a theme as we read aloud two or three books, and wrap up with related cooperative activities and crafts great for groups and individuals alike. Materials are intended for children ages two to seven years old, and all children must be accompanied by an adult. Let's hang out together!

Workshop: Perfume Blending
Natural perfumer Amanda Feeley will help you explore the basics of perfume creation, from basic perfume structure and terminology, to blending, precautions, oil classifications, and recipes. The fee includes all supplies used in the workshop as well as what you take home: handouts, recipes/instructions, and your very own 5ml custom blended perfume. Notes: Please bring a notebook and do not wear any scented products the day of the class.
