Matter at Hand: Workshop & Lecture with Textile Artist Tracy Krumm
Tracy Krumm, the McKnight Visual Artist Fellow and director of artistic advancement at the Textile Center in Minneapolis, will offer a textile workshop from 9 to 11:50 a.m. in 085 Design, followed by a lecture from 12:10 to 1 p.m. in 077 Design, both on the ground floor of the College of Design.

Hands-on Demo: Iowa Geographic Map Server
Today is Earth Observation Day. The Iowa Geographic Map Server, a browser-based website that hosts statewide imagery, is one of the most robust, publicly available, spatial imagery datasets in the country. The presentation will highlight recent innovations to it, including an updated interface and new features and image services.

She will talk about her research into the costs and benefits of seismic rehabilitation, post-disaster recovery and reconstruction and loss modeling.
