4th annual Celebration of Academic Advising
Faculty and P&S academic advisers will be recognized for their efforts. A brief program will begin at 8:15 a.m. Light breakfast will be served at this come-and-go event. Online RSVPs requested by Feb. 6.
Lunchtime Gallery Talk
University Museums Director, Lynette Pohlman, will tour the exhibition of Jay N. Darling's acclaimed waterfowl, duck, and landscape prints with a focus on the extraordinary effort of his grandson Christopher "Kip" Koss who tirelessly promoted the legacy of his grandfather and was the driving force behind the University Museum's wonderful collection of Darling's fine art prints.
P&S Council open forum

John Mayfield is Emeritus Professor of Genetics, Development, and Cell Biology at Iowa State and former associate dean of the Graduate College. His new book, The Engine of Complexity, Evolution as Computation, is an approach to understanding evolution based on information theory and computational science.

Last day to change a first half-semester course to or from Pass/Not Pass. Courses changed to graded basis after Jan. 27 count toward total allowable P/NP credits used for graduation.
