30th Annual Organists of Iowa with Dr. Karen. Black
Accomplished organist DR. KAREN BLACK visits Martha Ellen Tye Auditorium to perform an organ recital. Black is the Rudi Inselmann Endowed Professor of Organ at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. She teaches organ and church music, music theory and aural skills, serves as organist for weekday chapel and Sunday worship services, and conducts the St. Elizabeth Chorale.

Research Workshop: The Informed Consent Process
"Human Research Basics Series: The Informed Consent Process." A four-part series looks more closely at the various components of the IRB submission process. In this session you will learn about the informed consent process, which includes participant recruitment and the informed consent document. Discussion will include regulatory requirements and best practices for designing and administering informed consent.
Pop-up Exhibit: "Small Acts Big Impacts"
This exhibit will include trivia that begins at a table in the Parks Library Lobby, continues to 405 Parks Library and ends in the Green Dot exhibit in the ReACT Gallery, in the Reiman Gallery of the Christian Petersen Art Museum at Morrill Hall.

This interactive workshop showcases Lisa Orgler's (Senior Lecturer in Horticulture, recipient of Iowa State University's Award for Early Achievement in Teaching) unique method of teaching using teams and in-class activities. Lisa will share several activities to inspire ways for you to scaffold difficult concepts, engage learners, and invigorate your classroom.

Performance: Estonian National Symphony Orchestra
Founded as a small radio orchestra in 1926, Estonian National Symphony Orchestra has grown to 100 musicians performing more that 60 concerts each year. Program includes Arvo Pârt's Fratres; Dvorak's Symphony No. 7; and noted violinist Triin Ruubel joins the orchestra to play Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E Minor, Op. 64.
