Argentine Tango Practica Class
This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4 - 5pm moves for beginners are introduced with a different figure each week along with techniques for dancing better.

Training: "How to Write a P&S Position Description"
University human resources is offering training on "How to Write a Professional and Scientific Position Description" in conjunction with the new PeopleAdmin 7 system training. Anyone who writes or assists with writing position descriptions is encouraged to attend. Training is offered weekly beginning Aug. 26 through Nov. 24. To register, go to AccessPlus (Employee tab > UHR Training) and choose the class you wish to attend.

Women's Equality Day
Celebrate the anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, granting women the right to vote. Stop by Catt Hall's Plaza of Heroines to register to vote and enjoy light refreshments and an information booth for students interested in learning more about the Carrie Chapman Catt Center for Women and Politics and the Margaret Sloss Women's Center.

Once a year, the Student Activities Center at Iowa State University holds WelcomeFest for students to experience Ames local businesses, community organizations and ISU departments. WelcomeFest attracts over 4,000 students, and 100+ businesses and departments. Training: Sentinel Plant Network First Detector
Reiman Gardens' staff will take you through the initial steps to become a certified First Detector, in the ever-increasing effort to detect and diagnose "high-consequence" plant pests and pathogens, such as the emerald ash borer and the Asian long-horned beetle.
