The Mid-Iowa Woodcarvers return for their one-day show! Guests will have the opportunity to view carving contest entries, watch carving demonstrations and participate in a hands-on lesson in whittling.

Argentine Tango Drop-In Lessons
This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. Classes meet every Sunday and drop-ins are welcome. Purchase a dance punch card and attend as often as your schedule allows. Open to ages 18+.

Seminar: The conceptual framework for human drivers of low tree species diversity
Dr. Grant Thompson, assistant professor in the Department of Horticulture at Iowa State University, will discuss the impact to urban forests from the many decision makers involved in the nursery supply chain. Urban forests are more vulnerable to abiotic and biotic threats because of their low tree diversity. Dr. Thompson hopes to build a framework to help guide future research, education and outreach to increase tree biodiversity.

"Sacrament of Bodies," Romeo Oriogun, Nigerian poet and essayist. Oriogun, winner of the 2017 Brunel International African Poetry Prize, is a postdoctoral research associate in Iowa State's MFA Program in Creative Writing and Environment.Â
