Walk-in Argentine Tango
This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4-5pm, moves for beginners are introduced with a different figure each week along with techniques for better dancing. From 5-7pm, the floor is yours for dancing under the guidance of Valerie Williams, and for working with different partners. An intermediate level figure will also be introduced during this time.
Cyclone Cinema: Green Book
Green Book is a PG-13 comedy-drama fiction movie rated 4 stars. Watch an African-American pianist and Italian bouncer develop a friendship while confronting racism and danger in an era of segregation. Refreshments and snacks available at extra charge.

Monday Monologues series
"The Music of Poetry, The Poetry of Music," Debra Marquart, professor of English. Experience original music from jazz-poetry rhythm and blues project, The Bone People. Marquart will discuss the process of writing poems and songs, and demonstrate how the band adapts auditory landscapes for her performance poems.
Faculty workshop: Advancing Your Career at ISU
Associate provost Dawn Bratsch-Prince and LAS associate dean Amy Slagell will present on best practices for putting together a portfolio, opportunities for faculty to be more engaged as their careers develop, and the new term faculty tracks. This session is intended for adjunct, clinical and research-track faculty.
Workshop: Effectively managing disruptive classroom behavior
When disruptive behavior takes place, a number of Iowa State University faculty members recommend addressing it immediately. Their advice: remain calm, assess the situation, listen to student concerns. Especially recommended: provide a clear, firm response that is consistent with responses you've given other students. The strategies and resources in this workshop will help you prepare for these moments before they occur.
Discuss Published Education Research in Your Discipline (DBER Journal Club)
How do students learn best in your discipline? Where can you publish the way you solved instructional problems? You are invited to share and discuss DBER journal articles, seek feedback as you begin designing your own educational research projects, and form collaborations with participants from other disciplines.

Emily Hermant, an interdisciplinary artist whose large-scale work explores themes of communication, gender, labor and the spatial experiences of the body, will talk about the past decade of her arts practice, which spans textiles, sculpture, installation and digital technologies.

Vintage & Repurposed Bracelets Class
Learn basic leatherworking and jewelry-making techniques while repurposing vintage objects into wearable art. You will learn to cut, stamp, and emboss leather for the first bracelet, and how to stamp, cut, and attach metal to leather in the second. The final project will be drilling and dapping a series of coins to create a charm style bracelet. All supplies are included, but you are welcome to bring in special coins for the last bracelet.

Acrylic Painting Class
Discover the versatility of acrylic - a water-soluble medium that dries quickly. Learn basic color theory as well as painting from both life and photographs. Cirque Mechanics, although inspired by modern circus, finds its roots in the mechanical and its heart in the stories of American ingenuity. Rooted in realism with a display of raw quality, the show's message is both timeless and relevant. The stories are wrapped in circus acrobatics, mechanical wonders and a bit of clowning around.

Charlotte's Web is based on E.B. White's loving story of the friendship between a pig named Wilbur and a little gray spider named Charlotte. Wilbur has a problem: how to avoid winding up as pork chops! Charlotte, a fine writer and true friend, hits on a plan to fool Farmer Zuckerman -- she will create a "miracle."
