Short Films: American Design and Marketing in the 50s & 60s
Join the University Museum staff for three short films about modern design at the height of the Mid-Century Modern Era. This event is in conjunction with Designed for a Modern Life Exhibition at the Christian Petersen Art Museum.
Walk-in Argentine Tango
This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4-5pm, moves for beginners are introduced with a different figure each week along with techniques for better dancing. From 5-7pm, the floor is yours for dancing under the guidance of Valerie Williams, and for working with different partners. An intermediate level figure will also be introduced during this time.
Cyclone Cinema: Aquaman
Aquaman is a PG-13 fantasy/science fiction movie rated 3 stars. Power-hungry King Orm rules over Atlantis. Standing in his way is Aquaman, Orm's half-human, half-Atlantean brother and true heir to the throne. Watch Aquaman find his destiny. Refreshments and snacks available at extra charge.
