Gallery Walk: Celebrate the Brunnier
University Museums is excited to celebrate the reopening of the Brunnier Art Museum. Please join Dorothy Witter, interpretation specialist, for a gallery walk and discussion of the three exhibitions currently on display: "N.C. Wyeth's America in the Making," "The Observant Eye: Beth Van Hoesen" and "Translation of Light: Mark Adams."
Initiation ceremony: Phi Kappa Phi, ISU chapter
For fall semester 2010 inductees, this event is open to the public. ISU alumna Sylvia Louise (Lou) Blanchfield will give a short talk, " The Relationship Between Fathers and their Gifted Daughters that Supports Giftedness." A reception follows the ceremony.
ISU Theatre Production of "The Arabian Nights"
A Persian sultan whose first wife was unfaithful mistrusts all women until his beautiful young bride, Scheherazade, tells him a story on their first night together and begins a second one. The sultan eagerly awaits the conclusion of the following night. After 1001 nights of storytelling, he makes her his Queen. The stories of Scheherazade feature genies, thieves, and kings and raise storytelling to a new level of enchantment.

This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance.
Performance: Band Extravaganza
Ensembles scheduled to perform include the ISU Wind Ensemble, the Cyclone Marching Band, the Symphonic Band, and the ISU Jazz Ensemble.
