Annual fly-in breakfast hosted by the ISU Flying Cyclones Club. Pancake breakfast is $6 for adults; $4 for kids. ISU aviation clubs and organizations will be present as well as other local aviation groups. Airplane rides are available at additional cost.
Stash the Trash is a volunteer effort that brings students and community members together to help clean up the Ames community and assist homeowners with yard work. The event is organized by the ISU Student Activities Center and the Volunteer Center of Story County. Volunteers can choose to work alone, with a group of people, or with an organization. Create your own trellis from willow with artists Pam Dennis and Ryk Weiss. Participants will get an opportunity to artfully construct a trellis perfect for vining and climbing plants. All materials will be provided and no previous experience is necessary. Participants need to bring a small bow saw, sharp anvil pruning shears, small hammer, and wire cutters.
