The class is an introduction to the Yang Style Short Form as taught by Cheng Man-Ch'ing. Learning and doing the Form's movements refresh the spirit and improve balance, posture, flexibility, attitude, confidence and overall health and well-being. Students will also learn some Qigong health exercises. Lloyd has been studying and practicing Yang Style Tai Chi for two decades.

This is a 3 week course on Saturdays beginning May 16, May 23, & June 6 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. With a method similar to batik, you will draw patterns on real eggs with wax, protecting the covered areas from the dye that is applied. By repeating this process with different colors of dye, you will be able to build multi-colored patterns. Finally, the wax is removed to reveal a rainbow of colors that were covered up at each stage.

From 4-5pm moves for beginners are introduced with a different figure each week along with techniques for dancing better. From 5-7pm the dance floor is yours for dancing under the guidance of Valerie and working with different partners. An intermediate level figure will also be introduced during this time. Turn those garden-variety weeds into edible, delicious and nutritious additions to your summer diet.
