Rethinking Intensive Agriculture from an Ecosystem Perspective
by Dr. Evan H. DeLucia. In society's quest to feed an ever-increasing human population, more and more land under native vegetation is converted to intensive row-crop agriculture. Land conversion and changes in management practices affect the exchange of greenhouse gases and energy with the atmosphere. Prudent land management practices can meet society's growing demand for food, fiber, and fuel.
Workshop: Marketing Your Study Abroad Experience
Students will learn how to format international experiences on a resume and incorporate study abroad into behavioral-based interview questions. The workshop is applicable to students who participated in a faculty-led travel course or semester-long/exchange program, or any student interested in studying abroad. RSVP by Nov. 6.
