Varieties Finals
Varieties has been showcasing the talent of Iowa State students for more than 80 years. Performances consist of 16-20 minute "mini-musicals" that are performed with original lyrics and choreography. Shorter acts, called vignettes, perform as well.
Performance: Iphigenia
In the Greek myth Iphigenia is the daughter of Agamemnon who is told by a goddess that he must sacrifice his daughter in order to be granted wind so that his ships can sail to Troy. Knowing that his wife would never agree, he tricks Iphigenia and her mother into coming to him by telling her that she is to marry the great hero, Achilles. This is a new telling of the old legend.

Workshop: Big Data for (Sm)all Farmers
The workshop is to inform farmers with small and medium sized operations about current and future big data research, resources and technologies, and to learn from these farmers about the resources and technologies that would be most useful to them.
Art + Issues: Building a Campus Community
The University Museums exist to celebrate the diversity of our cultural heritage and through art teach critical thinking and generate dialogue that helps to build an inclusive campus community. Topics that relate to current events will be presented and attendees are encouraged to bring other discussion topics with them with a goal of generating understanding in a safe, inclusive, and inspiring space.
ISU Day at the Capitol
President Wendy Wintersteen and campus representatives will be in the rotunda with displays that showcase the impact Iowa State has on students, communities, businesses and Iowans across the state.

Deb Nelson, an information systems leader in IT Services, is retiring from the university March 1.

Brent Hales, senior associate dean and chief financial officer for University of Minnesota Extension, St. Paul. Hales is one of four candidates who will interview on campus between Feb. 26 and March 7.

Workshop: The Pedagogy of Canvas Quizzes
Participants will learn how to use Quizzes in Canvas. The workshop will focus on practical ways to customize Quiz Settings as well as create and administer Quizzes with a variety of question types to accommodate specific learning situations. Quiz Moderation and Analytics will be also explored.
