Lecture: "Death: The Personal and the Universal"
"Death: The Personal and the Universal." Death is something no one can escape. It follows life as surely as night follows day, winter follows autumn or old age follows youth. Join Cindy Gould, associate professor in Art and Design, and Jennifer Margrett, associate professor in Human Development and Family Studies, as they explore different responses to death, both the personal and the universal.
ISU Theatre: "Sweeney Todd"
When Sweeney Todd returns to London after 15 years of unjust imprisonment in Australia, his landlady, Mrs. Lovett, tells him that his wife poisoned herself after being raped by the judge who condemned him to exile. Sweeney Todd vows revenge and Mrs. Lovett finds a way to increase her sales of meat pies. With music by Stephen Sondheim, this musical won the Tony for Best Musical. Event held in cooperation with ISU Music.
