The Iowa City Flint Glass Manufacturing Company was incorporated in Iowa City in 1880. The company made pressed glass from local materials for a brief time from 1881-1882. Due to the short production schedule, Iowa City glass is rare and admired by collectors. Join Keith Hemmingway, a descendant of the company's original investor, for a discussion of the various glass patterns and pieces manufactured by the company.

Francis Bok was only seven years old when he and 10 other Sudanese children of the Dinka ethnic group were taken at gunpoint and forced into slavery. Bok was the first Sudanese escaped slave to testify before the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations. His book, "Escape From Slavery," is considered an important record of the experience of contemporary slavery. Part of the Network against Human Trafficking Conference.
