Luncheon: Greenlee School homecoming celebration
This event will celebrate the Greenlee School's three academic majors -- journalism, advertising, and the newest major, public relations. Students, alumni, employers, benefactors and faculty will be recognized in a brief program at 1 p.m.
Homecoming: Honors and Awards Ceremony
As part of the Homecoming celebration, each college and the ISU Alumni Association will recognize their alumni and friends. The ceremony is open to the public. A dessert reception will follow.
Ceremony: Greenlee School Schwartz Award
Barbara Mack, an award-winning media law professor at Iowa State, will be honored as the 2013 winner of the James W. Schwartz Award for Distinguished Service to Journalism and Communication. A 1974 Iowa State graduate, Mack passed away unexpectedly in August 2012. Christine Romans, a 1993 ISU graduate and current CNN anchor, along with colleagues and former students of Barbara Mack, will honor her memory with personal comments at the event.

Art and Design Annual Exhibition Reception and Awards
Opening reception and awards presentation for the 33rd Art and Design Annual exhibition. Of the 144 pieces of artwork that were submitted by 87 College of Design students, 54 works by 45 students from graphic design and integrated studio arts were accepted into the show, which runs through Thursday, Nov. 21, in Gallery 181.

Learn about the National Science Foundation's Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program and other summer research opportunities at ISU and elsewhere. A panel of faculty and students who participated in summer research programs will talk about finding positions, application processes and other topics related to undergraduate research.
YWCA Fundraiser: Just Desserts
Ten local vendors will provide a variety of amazing desserts, vying for "Best Dessert in Ames" vote. Proceeds support YWCA Ames-ISU programming.

Retirement reception: Bonnie Bowen
An open house reception will celebrate Bonnie Bowen's career at ISU. Bowen is an adjunct assistant professor in ecology, evolution and organismal biology, a co-PI for the SP@ISU project and former executive director of ISU ADVANCE. Light hors d'oeuvres will be served and significant others are welcome to attend.
