Workshop: How to Write a Successful CAREER Grant Proposal
Recent NSF CAREER Grant awardees (faculty members Baskar Ganapathysubramanian, Andrew Miner, Aditya Ramamoorthy and Maria Salas-Fernandez) will talk about developing their grant proposals, including their plans for the broader impacts, evaluation and other requirements of the program. Backstage Pass to Stephens Auditorium Art Curtain
One of two chances to see the curtain, Silver Code, up-close! Join University Museums' staff at Stephens Auditorium (also March 2, noon to 2 pm) for an open house and tours of the ongoing work. These open houses are free and open to the public, tickets are not required.

Orchid Fest
Exotic orchids in a variety of species and colors will be on display and available for purchase both days. The Central Iowa Orchid Society will also staff a question and answer booth, providing novices and experienced growers a chance to interact with others who "speak the language of orchids."
