Global Food Security Consortium and Everson Seed and Biosafety Symposium
"REAL Sustainability: Real Engagement in Agricultural Livelihoods." International experts will discuss the components necessary for addressing global food and nutrition security. The symposium will offer three sessions: Developing Research Platforms for Sustainable Food Systems; Educating the Workforce for a Dynamic Industry; and Building Capacity through Public-Private Partnerships.
Workshop: Civility in the Workplace
Few would argue that our society has become less civil, and the workplace is no exception. Today we can observe a continuum of behaviors and actions that include rude and discourteous behavior, electronic incivility and even "cybermobbing." Cyclone Voice is a singing competition that highlights the vocal talents of Iowa State students. This year's finale host will be singer-songwriter Jesse McCartney. Jesse is known for his hit songs "Beautiful Soul," "Leavin'," and "Body Language". Jesse will emcee the event and perform a few songs right before the winner is announced.
