Jean Trottier, an associate professor of landscape architecture at the University of Manitoba and a member of the Council for Canadian Urbanism, will share his thoughts on a landscape-centric urbanism through five themes: scale shifting, time warping, dynamic tectonics, the in-between and the situated imaginary. "Portrait of America" - John Iceland, Professor of Sociology and Demography at Penn State University, is the George M. Beal Distinguished Lecture in Rural Sociology. Iceland is the author of the new book "Race and Ethnicity in America."
