The first public performance of Allen Ginsberg's "Howl" happened at Six Gallery in San Francisco in 1955. Artist Manuel Neri helped to coordinate the historic event. In celebration of National Poetry Month, enjoy a reading of this legendary poem by local poets while surrounded by the art of Neri, an influential Bay area figurative sculptor.

The large scale cast glass human form draped in a meticulously arranged textile was created through a painstaking process that exemplifies the translucent beauty of sculptural glass.
