Summer and Fall 2018 registration: Sophomores
First day of assigned Summer 2018 and Fall 2018 registration dates for students projected as sophomores. Hours for AccessPlus registration are 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., Monday-Saturday, and most Sundays.
Meeting: Faculty Senate
The Faculty Senate represents the general faculty of Iowa State University and participates in shared governance of the University with the administration. Senate meetings are open to the public.
David W. Staniforth Memorial Lecture
"Will Genetically Engineered Pests Protect Health, Biodiversity, and Crop Production?" Fred Gould, North Carolina State University, will summarize issues being addressed by researchers attempting to genetically suppress or alter characteristics of insect pest populations. The presentation will address the status of these systems as well as their future potential for protecting crops, human health and biodiversity.
Guest lecture: U.S. Science Policy
Tobin (Toby) Smith, vice president for policy at the Association of American Universities (AAU), will present "The Lion in the Path: U.S. Science Policy in an Era of Political Polarization and Alternative Facts."

4-week program on Tuesdays beginning April 3, 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. Learn the fundamentals required to capture amazing outdoor shots in this class for beginning-to-intermediate digital photographers who want to understand the basics and bring their own unique artistic expression to landscapes and outdoor shooting.
