Lunch and Learn: Money Management
A money management workshop for undergraduate and graduate students. The lunch-and-learn includes an introduction to the basics of student loans, the repayment process and how loan borrowing and other financial decisions may affect personal credit. Attendees will be entered into the drawing to win a $2,500 scholarship. Presented by the Student Loan Education Office.
Workshop, Flexible Faculty Policies: Why They Matter, How They Work
This workshop will focus on the flexible faculty policies available that help foster the continued success of our faculty. Policies to be covered include part-time tenure track, extension of the tenure clock, arrival of a child and how the Faculty Modified Duties Assignment policy can be of assistance, as well as how these intersect with other HR policies and the federal Family and Medical Leave Act. Conference: Taking the Road Less Traveled
A one-day conference for middle school (Oct. 25) and high school (Nov. 8) girls to learn about STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) fields and how to infuse their passions within a career. Participants will attend interactive sessions to explore STEM opportunities, hear from professionals and WiSE student speakers, and eat lunch with undergraduate STEM students. Preregistration required.
