"Crushing It," poems by Jennifer Knox, associate teaching professor of English. Her poems have appeared in journals such as The New Yorker, Poetry, American Poetry Review, Granta, and five times in The Best American Poetry series. She is the recipient of fellowships from the Iowa Arts Council and the Milwaukee County Arts Fund. Along with teaching and writing, she is the proprietor of Saltlickers, a small spice-blend company.Â

"The Road I Grew Up On: Requiem for a Vanishing Era," author Helen Gunderson. Gunderson's book consists of regional and neighborhood history, a personal memoir, and spiritual insights as well as many black-and-white and color photographs. Daniel Hartwig, head of Special Collections and University Archives, will moderate a conversation between Gunderson and Cornelia Butler Flora, Distinguished Professor of Sociology Emerita.
