Cyclone Cinema: Joy Ride
Cyclone Cinema is presented by the Student Union Board and showcases a variety of film genres, screening a different movie every weekend Thursday - Sunday during the semester. Sunday film screenings are in open caption format. All other screenings can be open caption as well, as long as the request is made to the staff prior to the movie starting.

Promoting team endurance and body-positivity the Stormettes Dance Line perform a variety of different dance styles including the majorette, heels and hip-hop styles. Open to Iowa State students with varying levels of dance experience, the team serves the Iowa State, Ames and Des Moines communities with performances and workshops.

Mixed Level Pottery Class w/ Alice McGary
An introduction to creating functional pottery on the wheel. Start with the building blocks of centering clay and pulling cylinders, and move on to make bowls, mugs, and other forms. Learn how to pull handles, glaze, and finishing techniques, and build the skills needed to continue on your own. Open to beginners as well as those with experience who would like to improve their skills.

Moments of Impact: Examining the Legacy of Jack Trice
Dr. Jaime Schultz is the author of Moments of Impact: Injury, Racialized Memory, and Reconciliation in College Football. The book primarily focuses on Jack Trice's life and influence on ISU through the 1990s. She also writes about the legacies of Ozzie Simmons at University of Iowa and Johnny Bright at Drake University. Dr. Schultz, who did her Ph.D at University of Iowa, is now a professor of kinesiology at Penn State.
Stained Glass Class w/ Rod Simpson

United States International Poster Biennial Exhibition Reception
Opening reception and awards presentation for the inaugural United States International Poster Biennial exhibition, with remarks beginning at 4:30 p.m. After its Iowa State run (through Oct. 26), the show will travel to Long Beach, California, and other U.S. and international locations.

Sugar skulls are symbolic pieces of folk art popular during Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), a Mexican holiday for remembering and honoring those who have passed. Choose from several patterns and personalize with your color choices. Those new to stitching will learn the basic embroidery stitches. If you know the basics, try some fancy stitches to add to your repertoire. Look for Dia de los Muertos celebrations on November 1 & 2.

Iowa State alumnus Michael Braley (BFA 1993 Graphic Design), award-winning creative director of Braley Design, will share his influences and insights from three decades as a graphic designer, revealing the key elements that make an effective poster and what he believes is the true "art" of the poster.
