Finalist forum: Ames National Laboratory director
Two finalists will interview on campus Oct. 2-5 for the director's post at the U.S. Department of Energy's Ames National Laboratory. The names of the candidates will be made public one business day before their visit.

Four finalists are interviewing on campus Oct. 2-12. The names of the candidates will be made public one business day before their visit.
Naming Ceremony: Patterson Hall
Naming the college's academic building after Dr. Frederick Douglass Patterson culminates the college's yearlong celebration of the 100th anniversary of his graduation with a doctorate in veterinary medicine in 1923. After the completion of the ceremony, a reception will be held in The Commons where a new mural honoring the legacy of Dr. Patterson will be unveiled.
United States International Poster Biennial Exhibition Reception
Opening reception and awards presentation for the inaugural United States International Poster Biennial exhibition, with remarks beginning at 4:30 p.m. After its Iowa State run (through Oct. 26), the show will travel to Long Beach, California, and other U.S. and international locations.
