The Center Tea Talk: Beyond the Binary, Intersex 101
It's almost Intersex Day of Solidarity. Many people don't know a lot about Intersex people, let's talk a little about the "third sex." During Tea Talks, we offer loose leaf tea, tea bags, and snacks and we will engage in discussion about a topic related to the LGBTQIA+ community.

Culinary Workshop: Making Sushi
This hands-on "Delishly Scientific" workshop hosted by the Culinary Science Club will demonstrate how to make fresh sushi rolls with rice and veggies. Participants will make their own sushi rolls and learn about the different types of sushi. Limited spots available. Register in advance.

Retirement reception: Gary Van Loon
Van Loon, a carpenter in the building structural services unit of facilities planning and management, is retiring Dec. 1 after 29+ years of service to Iowa State.
Retirement reception: William Jenks
William Jenks, professor in chemistry, is retiring.
Retirement reception: John Wagner
Wagner, assistant director for academic advising in the mechanical engineering department, is retiring at the end of 2023 after 26 years of service to Iowa State. In addition to his student advising roles in ME, he served in the College of Design (nine years) and the former College of Family and Consumer Sciences (three years).
