Workshop: Intermediate Geospatial Humanities
This workshop serves as a follow-up to Digital Humanities 101: Intro to Geospatial Humanities. Attendees with no prior experience with ArcGIS Online are encouraged to attend that workshop prior to this one. This session will explore some more advanced features of ArcGIS Online. Participants will get hands-on experience using ArcGIS Instant Apps to create interactive maps that can be embedded in your website.

Workshop: Git basics for absolute beginners
Git is a version control system: it tracks and manages changes to your files over time and allows you to include explanations for each change. This workshop will introduce you to Git - how it works, its benefits, and how to get started -- by learning and practicing the basics. This workshop is for anyone that works with plain text data and code but requires no prior knowledge of Git. You will need a Windows, Mac, or Linux computer to participate.

A performance by the Jubilee Gospel Choir, a treble and bass vocal group providing space for singers and musicians. The choir enjoys exploring other genres derived from gospel like jazz and R&B. Jubilee performs on campus and in the Ames and DesMoines communities and is open to anyone who enjoys listening to, singing and/or playing gospel music, with no choir experience required.

Digital Scholarship Symposium
Learn from experts who will discuss creative examples of developing digital literacy skills in the classroom and using digital methods to open research to a wider audience. The two panel discussions are: "Digital Scholarship Pedagogy: Expanding Digital Literacy and Creativity in the Classroom" and "Public Digital Scholarship: Community Impact Through Digital Projects." Workshop: Building Interactive Text Adventures with Twine
Twine is an open-source tool for creating interactive fiction and simple choose your own adventure games without the need for programming knowledge. Twine offers both a browser-based application and a desktop app with built-in story formats that can be customized with html and css. In this workshop, participants will explore some existing Twine creations and build their own hyperlinked story.
