Within the last few decades, Nordic music and Nordic performers have attracted considerable attention on the international scene, including notable young Icelandic artists. Icelandic composers from the nationalistic and modern eras have made bold and innovative strides in expressing the Nordic spirit, and, in particular, Nordic ingenuity in traditional and avant garde forms. Dr. Taylor has performed Nordic piano works widely for European and American audiences. The reception she has received for these programs personally attests to the eagerness and energy of audiences for Nordic pianism. Her passion in performing is to share the exciting experiences Nordic composers have provided for us through their music.
