Imagine being stranded in a restaurant with a busload of eccentric people whom you have to wait out a snowstorm with... William Inge's hit comedy Bus Stop is sure to make the audience at Stephens have a night of laughter they won't soon forget!

A lot can happen in a single night--especially at a street corner restaurant in a small Midwestern town where a busload of stranded passengers waits out a snowstorm.

The acclaimed Montana Repertory Theatre (who brought us To Kill a Mockingbird) returns to Stephens with William Inge's hit comedy Bus Stop. When the down-home, seemingly ordinary characters reveal extraordinary qualities, romance blossoms and love banishes loneliness.

"Bus Stop shows that our lives are truly intertwined; we affect each other in subtle and profound ways as we go about our daily lives," says Montana Rep artistic director Greg Johnson. "Few playwrights are able to make the everyday universal and the commonplace the stuff of great theater. Inge is one of these playwrights."
