All CyRide bus routes will be free on Thursday, June 17, as part of the national Dump the Pump promotion. Riders will save gas money, help the environment and learn about public transit. More information, including bus schedules, is online (http://www.cyride.com).

Public transportation offers an immediate alternative for individuals seeking to reduce their energy use and carbon footprints. Taking public transportation exceeds the combined benefits of using energy-efficient light bulbs, adjusting thermostats, weatherizing one's home and replacing a refrigerator.

"With rising environmental concerns, riding CyRide is a great way to reduce your carbon footprint especially on June 17th when rides are free," said Sheri Kyras, CyRide Director. "CyRide will have its highest ridership ever this year with over 5.3 million rides so a free day of transit is also a way to say thank you to our loyal customers!"

If you are a new rider and unsure of figuring out your trip, just simply call 292-1100 and let us plan your trip for you. Our staff is available to answer any question you may have regarding riding the bus. However, CyRide's "How To Ride" and "How to Read a Schedule" videos are also available on our website (www.cyride.com) for those that want to learn on their own.
