Alan Hashimoto is an associate professor of graphic design and computer art at Utah State University. He has created over 500 published visual design solutions for more than 100 corporations, advertising firms and design studios. His design experience includes corporate branding, packaging, interactive design, animation and digital video. He is the second guest speaker in the ISU College of Design's Digital Media Lecture Series.

Hashimoto is an associate professor of graphic design and computer art at Utah State University. He has created more than 500 published visual design solutions for more than 100 national and international corporations, advertising firms and design studios. His design experience includes corporate branding, packaging, interactive design, animation and digital video. Hashimoto is co-author with Mike Clayton of Visual Design Fundamentals: A Digital Approach, now in its third edition (Charles River Media, 2009).

Commissions include designs for the Los Angeles Times, A&M Records, Capital Records, Bantam Books, McGraw-Hill, Prentiss-Hall, Ziff-Davis Publishing, Paramount Pictures, Citibank, General Foods, Hughes Helicopters, Intel Corporation, Mattel Toys, McDonnell-Douglas, Texas Instruments, First Interstate Bank, RCA Electronics, Hewlett-Packard, AT&T International, Hitachi Corporation and Ford Electronics.

Hashimoto holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in art education and illustration from Utah State University and a Master of Fine Arts in Visual Design from the University of Oregon.
