The Iowa State track and field teams will face competition from in-state rivals Iowa, Northern Iowa and Drake, as well as Big 12 North rivals Kansas, Kansas State and Missouri as they play host to the ISU Classic Thursday through Saturday at the Lied Recreation Center.
Multi-event action will kick off the meet on Thursday at 12:30 p.m. CST as the women begin the pentathlon with the 60-meter hurdles. The men's heptathlon is scheduled for a 12:45 p.m. CST start with the 60-meter dash.
Multi-event competition will resume Friday at 9 a.m. as the men compete in the final three events of the heptathlon, beginning with the 60-meter hurdles. The women's weight throw is slated for a noon CST start to get the field events underway, while the women's distance medley relay will get events started on the track at 3 p.m. CST.
Saturday will see events on the track resume at 9 a.m. CST with the non-seeded women's mile run, while field events are schedule for a 10 a.m. CST start with the non-seeded women's shot put.
The Cyclone men will also face competition from top-ranked Florida and No. 11 Auburn. The women's side will see tough competition from ninth-ranked Auburn.
Results will be posted on cyclones.com at the conclusion of each day's events.
