Jeremy Caniglia will discuss his artwork as well as artists throughout the ages who have used graphic storytelling to depict the human condition and build compositions in religious, mythological, allegorical and political narratives. Jeremy Caniglia was nominated in 2003 and 2004 for the International Horror Guild Award for best artist in dark fantasy and horror. In 2004 he won the prestigious award. In 2005 he received his first World Fantasy nomination for Best Artist in Fantasy.
Caniglia is a successful painter whose work is in private collections around the world. His art is published worldwide on a regular basis and he has contributed to both joint and solo fine art exhibitions at Museums and Galleries. He has two books dedicated to his work, "I before E except after Death" and "As Dead as Leaves-Art of Caniglia."
This summer his work was featured alongside such renowned artists as N.C. Wyeth and H.R. Giger in the national exhibit "Art at the Edge: Art of the Fantastic."
He received his BFA in drawing and painting from Iowa State in 1993 and his MFA in painting from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 1995.
