Join in on the excitement of Team Based Learning (TBL), a highly effective, research-based teaching methodology implemented in many disciplines and throughout the world.

Team Based Learning was developed to better engage students as they learn complex concepts in a spirit of fairness, teamwork and accountability. When courses are designed according to the principles of TBL, large classes seem smaller and students become excited about learning. TBL is also effective for enlivening small classes. This Teaching and Learning Circle will discuss the basic tenets of Team Based Learning, resources on the TBL Website, TBL guru Larry Michaelsen's book, model its practices, and most importantly, brainstorm TBL applications in your classrooms. 4 consecutive Tuesdays, February 12, 19, 26, March 5 from 12:10pm-1:30pm.
