Exploring the art of haiga, a style of Japanese painting that often accompanies a haiku poem, this crash combo course will offer two sessions of haiku, and two sessions of brush painting, followed by a garden exhibition. Students will first learn to write and appreciate the beautiful poetic art of haiku with poet Dennis Maulsby, then will push the art form to new levels by discovering various techniques for brush painting with artist and instruct

Cost is $48 for CoHorts members. $60 for the general public. Iowa State University students pay 15% off the member price.
