"I don't like going to the class ... the other students, the professor ... I don't feel like I belong there." Could this quote be from a student in your class? Multicultural students make up approximately 11 percent of the total undergraduate student body at ISU. While this population is increasing at ISU, retention and graduation rates are lower than their majority peers.

To address this disparity, this Teaching and Learning (T&L) Circle will take a look at the learning environment for ISU's multicultural students. These seminars will prepare you to better understand and address racial dynamics in the classroom. We will discuss issues from a global, local, and individual perspective, assisting you to create a more inclusive environment
