Featured speakers include National Postdoctoral Association Advisory Council members Philip Clifford and Brendan Delany; Alex King, former director of the U.S. Department of Energy's Ames Laboratory; and Dr. Donna Hammond, interim executive associate dean of the University of Iowa's Carver College of Medicine.

The Research Day offers the opportunity for postdocs to present their research work and interact with other postdocs from participating universities. Such is expected to create opportunities for research collaborations and avenues for future employment connections. Through the participation of ISU postdocs in the Research Day, this event will showcase the intriguing research activities taking place in our departments, laboratories, centers and institutes.

Postdocs also will listen to exciting career related talks from speakers with a wealth of experience. There also will be best presentation awards.

The 2013 Research Day event is sponsored by the Graduate College, U.S. Department of Energy's Ames Laboratory, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Department of Materials Science and Engineering.
