A half-day program encompassing best teaching practices and student support resources available at Iowa State. New Faculty and Teaching Assistants will learn from Iowa State's educators about how to prepare for a successful first semester of teaching, and explore CELT's services, resources, and professional development opportunities.

The Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) Teaching Symposium at Iowa State University will be held on Tuesday, August 14 for new faculty, staff and teaching assistants who have a teaching role. Our symposium goals:

== To become familiar with the policies, practices and resources that effect teaching and learning at Iowa State University.
== To become aware of common student issues, successes and various campus resources for students.
== To discover the services, resources and development opportunities provided by CELT.
