Long Lived Particles (LLPs) arise naturally in a variety of models, yet analyses at accelerator experiments often do not cover decays between mm-scale and infinitely long lifetimes. I will discuss the general motivation for searching for Long-Lived Particles (LLPs) before discussing in detail the unique signature of a hadronic decay occurring within the volume of the calorimeter at ATLAS.
