First day of assigned Summer 2018 and Fall 2018 registration dates for students in the College of Veterinary Medicine and students in the Graduate College. Hours for AccessPlus registration are 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., Monday-Saturday, and most Sundays.

Workshop: Assignments and Gradebook in Canvas
Assignments are a backbone of the course's Gradebook in Canvas. Participants will learn to create and manage Assignments and Assignment Groups as well as explore how the Gradebook is connected to the organization of Assignments. Participants will experience the power of SpeedGrader for efficient and effective grading.

"The Dead Zone: Will Shrimp and Corn Chowder Survive?" Nancy N. Rabalais is the Shell Oil Endowed Chair in Oceanography and Coastal Sciences at Louisiana State University and a 2012 MacArthur Fellow. She leads Louisiana Universities Marine Consortium/Louisiana State University's annual survey of the Gulf hypoxic zone.

Research Workshop: Submission software training
The Office for Responsible Research will transition to a new electronic system for submission, review, and maintenance of Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) and Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) applications. The a-tune tick@lab system will go live in early 2018, integrating research, teaching and testing protocols, animal procurement and management, as well as veterinary medical records.
Gun Control Theatre - A ReACT Reading
Following the conclusion of the Thoughts and Prayers exhibition and leading up to the March for Our Lives on Saturday, March 24th, Focal Theatre Lab in partnership with ReACT Gallery will present informal readings of plays addressing gun control from a variety of perspectives. The plays will be read outside Morrill Hall in the Anderson Sculpture Garden. You are invited to come and go as your schedule allows or stay for the entire performance.

Getting Started With Zotero
Zotero is a great free tool for managing citations and documents, ideal for tracking sources used in your research. This workshop will show you the basics so you can: collect and organize articles and citations, sync data, add references to Word documents and reformat citations to meet any journal's style, and share citations and documents through a Group Library. Lecture: Paranormalcy
Photographer Christopher Schneberger (Columbia College, Chicago) builds entire worlds in his art, creating narrative series filled with otherworldly characters. Using photographic technologies from the antiquated to the futuristic, he weaves together fact and fiction into immersive experiences. Bringing his traveling 3-D theater to the College of Design, Schneberger will show his work and discuss how he creates his complex illusions.
