Ready to Run Iowa
"Ready to Run Iowa" is a 6-part, nonpartisan campaign training program to encourage women to run for elective office, position themselves for appointive office, work on a campaign, or become more involved in public life. Each workshop will address a different topic. Registration is required; register for each workshop individually.

Concert: Iowa State Symphonic Band
The 80-member symphonic band will perform works by Tchaikowsky, Copland, Thomas, Ticheli, Bach, Kistler and Galante.

Students are invited to the Memorial Union from 9pm-1am to participate in a variety of free activities that include bingo, entertainment and a novelty activity.

Iowa Student Leadership Experience
The Iowa Student Leadership Experience (ISLE) is a one-day leadership conference that brings students together to collaborate, engage, and practice meaningful leadership. ISLE is a collaboration between Iowa State University, the University of Northern Iowa, and the University of Iowa and is open to students from all three campuses.

Passion with Purpose: A Professional Healthcare Journey
Karen Stenger will give the keynote of the 2023 Pre-Health Club Conference. This lectures is free and open to the public. Ms. Stenger, MA, RN, CCRN-K, began her college career at Iowa State before transferring to the University of Iowa and gaining her bachelor's and master's degrees from the College of Nursing.

Argentine Tango Drop-In Lessons
This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. Classes meet every Sunday and drop-ins are welcome. Purchase a dance punch card and attend as often as your schedule allows. Open to ages 18+.

Webinar: Career Preparation in the Land Grant Tradition
Learn how to inspire and prepare students in the land-grant tradition, informing constituents that we are focusing on excellence in learning and teaching. Come away with new approaches to career development, using internet and blog sites and see how theoretical classes, such as media ethics, can be transformed via individual projects that highlight what students have learned while at Iowa State University.
Opening reception: Fashion / Existence / Myth
Explore the "Fashion / Existence / Myth" exhibit, enjoy light snacks and listen to a short lecture at 4:30 p.m. The exhibit is curated by graduate students Zahra Falsafi and Amanda Ortiz-Pellot, and Kelly Reddy-Best, associate professor in apparel, events, and hospitality management.

Banquet: 25 Year Club
The 25 Year Club honors employees who have served the university for 25, 35, 45 or 50 consecutive years at this annual banquet. Social hour starts at 5 p.m., followed by dinner and the ceremony. Reservations are required.

A New York Times bestselling author, she is the author, editor, or translator of eighteen books, including twelve cookbooks documenting the foodways of the African Diaspora. Her award-winning book, High on the Hog, was the basis for the acclaimed Netflix series of the same name.

The Unplugging: (Re)Writing the Apocalypse
In this online event, Yvette Nolan will discuss her creative work as a playwright and theatrical director. Ms. Nolanââ'¬â"¢s play, The Unplugging, tells the story of two women who are exiled from their village in a post-apocalyptic world, after passing child-bearing age.
