Excel 2003 In-Depth
First of two sessions that takes an in-depth look into the basic concepts of Excel 2003, a popular spreadsheet package. (Second session is on February 26.) International Experiences Showcase
Students from the College of Human Sciences will describe their study abroad activities at the CHS International Experiences Showcase, on Tuesday, Feb. 24, from 3 - 5 p.m. in the Campanile Room of the Memorial Union. The event, which is open to the public, will feature talks, poster displays, and PowerPoint presentations. All faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to stop in and learn from their peers about their overseas encounters.

Lecture: Entrepreneur series
"Turning Points: The Path from Iowa State Student to 'Bean Baron,'" Danny O'Neill, The Roasterie Inc., Kansas City, Mo. After launching a coffee roasterie business in the basement of his home in 1993, the ISU alum has grown the company into a successful brand and business, and Danny has become world famous for his "cupping" talents. Contribute allows a group of people who are not web designers to alter content on a website. Free dance social, hosted by the ISU Ballroom Dance Club. No partner required. Dress is casual, but indoor shoes or socks must be worn in the studio. Social ends at 9:45 p.m.
Performance: "The Night Thoreau Spent in Jail"
In 1846, Henry David Thoreau spent the night in jail for refusing to pay his taxes since his money might be used to support slavery or the Mexican-American War. This famous act of civil disobedience resulted in this script, a play about ideas, political and personal, and about each person's responsibility to ensure independence and democracy. Tickets available through the Stephens Box Office or Ticketmaster.
