Argentine Tango Drop-In Lessons

Cyclone Cinema is presented by the Student Union Board and showcases a variety of film genres, screening a different movie every weekend Thursday - Sunday during the semester. Sunday film screenings are in open caption format. All other screenings can be open caption as well, as long as the request is made to the staff prior to the movie starting.

Monday Monologues series
The Stormettes Dance Line, open to Iowa State students with varying levels of dance experience, promotes team endurance and body positivity by performing a variety of different dance styles. They often feature the majorette, heels, and hip-hop styles.

Gregory Palermo Celebration of Life
The College of Design and Department of Architecture will host a public celebration of life for Gregory Palermo, FAIA. A professor emeritus of architecture, Palermo died Sunday, March 20, in Ames. Colleagues, alumni and friends are invited to share personal anecdotes and tributes following a formal program at 4:15 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
Seminar: Exploring Perennial Groundcover Species Compatibility with Maize and Their Effects on Soil Water and Nutrient Dynamics
Join this Department of Horticulture Graduate Seminar to hear Patrick Galland, Horticulture graduate student at Iowa State University, discuss research into the use of perennial ground cover with maize. The focus was primarily on how the soil water and available nutrients were impacted with the goal to indentify which combination of factors had the greatest influence on grain yield reductions.

Students from the Honors Program Comedy College class take the M-Shop stage for their final presentation - a 10-minute comedy set! Hosted by comedian and instructor Gavin Jerome, this final exam is a total joke!

Schooltime Matinee Series: Call of the Wild
This multimedia adventure mixes classic storytelling with projected illustrations to tell the story of Buck, the magnificent cross-bred offspring of a St. Bernard and Scottish Collie. Kidnapped from his lavish life on a California estate and sent to work as a sled dog during the great Klondike Gold Rush, Buck fights to survive and becomes the most famous dog in the whole history of the northland.

Lecture: The Unabomber Investigation Revisited
Retired FBI Supervisory Special Agent James R. Fitzgerald will discuss his role in the identification and arrest of Theodore J. Kaczynski, aka, the Unabomber, in April of 1996. "Fitz" will describe how forensic linguistics, the science of language within the legal system, proved to be a pivotal factor in the eventual resolution of the 17 year-long serial bomber case.
