Afternoon Wheel Pottery Class
An introduction to creating functional pottery on the wheel. Start with the building blocks of centering clay and pulling cylinders, and move on to make bowls, mugs, and other forms. Class meets Tuesdays from 2:30-5:30pm for 6 weeks with instructor Valerie Williams.

Fall Blood Drive
This four-day event is planned each semester by the Iowa State Blood Drive student organization. Participants also can view their free COVID-19 antibody test results several days after donating. Donors receive a T-shirt and an EatStreet gift card, while supplies last.

Canvas makes collaboration and sharing resources simple! In this workshop, you will learn how to locate resources in the Canvas Commons, import them into your course shells in Canvas and customize imported content for your own needs. Dr. Cedric Alexander has over forty years in law enforcement, serving as former Chief of Police in DeKalb County, GA, previous President of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives, and member of President Obama's Task Force on 21st Century Policing. His talk will focus on the shifting awareness of police scrutiny and accountability as well as share first-hand his experiences with being a police officer of color.
Indigo-Dyed Boro Scarf Class
Learn two fiber art processes to create a contemporary "distressed" scarf! Sarah Cady will teach Shibori, one of the earliest Japanese tie-dyeing techniques, which will create patterns on fabric with natural indigo dye. Weeks two and three are with Judy Lemish where you will piece together you dyed fabric with other upcycled cotton textiles.
