Brunnier in Bloom: Flowers after Hours
Stop and smell the roses at opening night of University Museums' annual Brunnier in Bloom. This event showcases the talents of central Iowa floral designers and garden clubs as they are challenged to create arrangements inspired by works of art on exhibition in the Brunnier Art Museum.
Planetarium Show - The Solar System
Are you curious about space? Do you wonder about what you can see in the night sky? If so, bring your questions and come to the ISU Planetarium to learn more. The first show, starting at 6:30 pm will be 20 minutes and for kids. Shows at 7 pm and 7:30 pm and are suitable for all ages. Free tickets for the shows will be available at the door starting at 6:15 pm. Seating is limited.
9th annual Global Gala
One of Iowa State's largest multicultural celebrations, Global Gala features student organizations that showcase their cultural heritage through music, dance and fashion. Doors open at 6 p.m.
Dance social
Free dance social hosted by the ISU Ballroom Dance Club. Singles welcome. Dress is casual; indoor shoes or socks are required.
Salsa dance lesson
"Xtra Moves Night." Free salsa dance lesson, hosted by the ISU Ballroom Dance Club. Includes both beginning and more advanced steps, taught by Ian Herrman. No partner required.

VEISHEA Service Day
Join with members from the ISU and Ames communities to offer assistance to a number of worthy organizations and causes as part of the 2014 VEISHEA Service Day event. A diversity of opportunities are available and suitable for all ages and skills sets.
Stash The Trash
Stash the Trash is a volunteer effort that brings students and community members together to help clean up the Ames community. The event is organized by VEISHEA, Keep Iowa State Beautiful, and the Volunteer Center of Story County. Volunteers can choose to work alone, with a group of people, or with an organization.

Using recycled papers and fabrics, we will play with traditional methods of bookbinding to create miniature handmade books.
Argentine Tango Practica (Class)
This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4-5pm moves for beginners are introduced with a different figure each week along with techniques for dancing better. Beginning at 4:00 p.m., a panel session, featuring Morrill Professors Gail Nonnecke and Leo Timms, will share their perspectives on the importance of effective teaching in higher education.
