Artful Yoga
Build strength, endurance, and balance in a yoga class that will leave you feeling relaxed and centered. Behind all of those sore muscles you may find patience, peace, and a stronger mind/body connection. No yoga experience is necessary, but please bring your own mat. This free yoga practice is sponsored by the University Museums and Recreation Services.
Cartoonish Architecture: Jimenez Lai
Jimenez Lai is an assistant professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago and founder of Bureau Spectacular, which engages the design of architecture through storytelling, cartoon narratives, installations, models and small buildings. Part of the 2013-14 Architecture Advisory Council Lecture Series.

Spoon handles are used to make rings, but you can use the rest of the spoon to make an unconventional pendant. Personalize it with letter stamps after flattening. Add beads and baubles to add personality. Leave class with a one-of-a-kind necklace.

Homecoming: Open house and pep rally
A showcase of many events that have taken place at the 5-year-old ISU Alumni Center, including special tours. Enjoy food for purchase, cash bar, and family-friendly tailgate games. The Homecoming pep rally, sponsored by Iowa State University Book Store -- featuring coaches, student-athletes, Yell-Like-Hell finals, and the crowning of Cardinal Court -- will begin at 7 p.m. outside the building.
Paint Your Own Pottery: Homecoming
Join us for a fun exploration of techniques in "painting" bisque. Pick your piece and illustrate your Cyclone Pride! We will have samples for inspiration but your own ideas are always welcome too. Studio fee is $4 for ISU and $5 for public to attend plus the cost of the bisque you select. Pottery will be fired within a week for you to pick up. Pre-registration with payment is not required but a call to reserve a spot is recommended.
