Stash The Trash
Stash the Trash is a volunteer effort that brings students and community members together to help clean up the Ames community. The event is supported by the City of Ames, Iowa State University and Iowa Home Consulting. Volunteers can choose to work alone, with a group of people, or with an organization - and clean-up their neighborhood or favorite outdoor area.

Spring intrasquad scrimmage. The format of the game will be determined by the coaching staff based on player availability.
Cyclone Cinema: Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom
Cyclone Cinema is presented by the Student Union Board and showcases a variety of film genres, screening a different movie every weekend Thursday - Sunday during the semester. Sunday film screenings are in open caption format. All other screenings can be open caption as well, as long as the request is made to the staff prior to the movie starting.

The Fashion Show is one of the largest student-run fashion shows in the nation, featuring dynamic student designs and professional guest designers.

In present-day Appalachia, a high school class explores "The Crucible." As scandal swirls in their community, the assignment turns into an examination of power, love, and sex education. Advisory: Contains adult language and content. "John Proctor is the Villain" will run in repertory with "The Crucible."

Christian Petersen in Context
Curator Dr. Lea Rosson DeLong, noted scholar of Christian Petersen, will examine Petersen's works of art on campus, placing them in context with his artist peers of the 1930s through the 1950s while also centering his sculptures and legacy in the greater art historical context of the 20th century.

Argentine Tango Drop-In Lessons
This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. Classes meet every Sunday and drop-ins are welcome. Purchase a dance punch card and attend as often as your schedule allows. Open to ages 18+.

Earth Day Celebration
Celebrate Earth Day with ISU and the Ames community. Activities include a diversity of Earth-minded engagement and empowerment opportunities, refreshments, sustainability-minded giveaways, bike tune-ups, ISU Repair Cafe, Monday Monologues and music from KURE.
Monday Monologues series
"Conversations with the Earth," with performances celebrating Earth Day. Student groups participating are: Recyclables for Music (REFORM), EcoTheatre Lab, and MFA in Creative Writing and Environment. The ISU Repair Cafe will offer skateboard, scooter, e-bike, wheelchair, and roller skate repair on the south lawn.

Workshop: Team Science - The BIG Why!
Join us as we host Dr. Ellyn Dickmann to discover 'why' funders love team science. Learn how to implement team science approaches to become more innovative, productive and have more impact on scientific breakthroughs. Topics will include: foundational principles of team science; a review of evidence-based research that supports team science; basics regarding convergent research strategies; and how to create and implement strategies in your team.
Performance: Have You Filled A Bucket Today?
This fun-filled musical from Virginia Repertory Theatre is based on the concepts in Carol McCloud's award-winning children's books "Have You Filled a Bucket Today?" and "Growing Up with a Bucket Full of Happiness," and Ann Marie G. Halstead's "The Bucket Filling Fairy." The books and play use the concept of a bucket to show students how to express kindness, appreciation and love to be bucket-fillers. For children in grades K-5.
Workshop: Building Interactive Text Adventures with Twine
Twine is an open-source tool for creating interactive fiction and simple choose your own adventure games without the need for programming knowledge. Twine offers both a browser-based application and a desktop app with built-in story formats that can be customized with html and css. In this workshop, participants will explore some existing Twine creations and build their own hyperlinked story.

Confronting Cancer in College
Outspoken throughout his battle with testicular cancer, Iowa State Athletics Director Jamie Pollard will share his message of encouragement and the importance of the support he received from the community through his treatment. Then, hear from the American Cancer Society On Campus student group as they share stories and resources related to personal or familial cancer experiences.

Build Your Own Mental Health Kit
Join us for the bi-annual Menta Health Kits sponsored by the Student Union Board! We will have boxes to fill with treats and trinkets to support you and your mental health during the upcoming finals, and it's all FREE! Mental Health Kits will run from 10am to 2pm in the Maintenance Shop on Wednesday, April 24th or until supplies run out.
