Come to the Farm House Museum to enjoy tea and conversation about all things Farm House. Mark your calendar from 12:00 pm-1:00 pm Tuesdays this month and enjoy the 150 year old structure in a whole new way. Check the University Museums website to learn what the discussion topic will be. Reflections on the Greensboro Four
On Feb. 1, 1960, four African-American freshmen from North Carolina A&T State University had enough of continued segregation in the South and sat down at Greensboro's "whites only" Woolworth lunch counter. They returned everyday for five months until they were served and Woolworth agreed to integrate their lunch counters. Joseph McNeil, of the Greensboro Four who started it all, will the story.

Blackboard Learn's File Management Options
Putting files in folders and making them accessible can become the biggest obstacle to a pleasant experience in online learning. File management can be tricky in Bb Learn, but with a little practice, it becomes second nature. In this session, you will learn the basics to file management in Blackboard Learn, including how to upload/move files; create/organize folders; create an html folder; use the web folder for easy web-access.

Mark Lyte, Ph.D, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, will present "Microbial Endocrinology: Why the Intersection of Microbiology, Endocrinology and Food Science Matters to Animal Health." Lyte is the founder of the field of microbial endocrinology, studying how neuroendocrine hormones can interact with microorganisms.
How to Develop Effective Formative Course Assessment Systems
This seminar will focus on how to develop and implement effective online (WebCT based) formative course assessment surveys for engineering and science courses. The comprehensive list of survey questions developed and used by the presenters will be discussed, as will the research findings.
